Neon Wish List + How I’m Wearing the Trend

It’s no secret neon everything is trending this summer. While I typically stick to more neutral pieces, it’s been fun to add some brightness into my wardrobe. I love that the bold colors instantly make me look more tan…plus, it’s hard not to feel a little extra cheerful when wearing them!

One of my favorite neon pieces in my closet is the bright orange maxi skirt featured below. I’ve worn it recently a couple different ways: 1.) with a black one piece swimsuit as cover-up at the beach and 2.) with a simple cropped tee while exploring an adorable northern Michigan lake town with some good friends of ours. I felt comfortable + confident each time I wore it and have a feeling I’ll be reaching for it quite often over the next few months!

As much as I love keeping a pulse on new trends, I don’t think it makes sense to spend a lot of money on pieces I’ll only wear a few times. I only buy these types of items if the price is right or I know I’ll get a lot of use out of them. That being said, all the picks on my wish list below are either super budget-friendly (a few are on major sale) or I’ll transition them into fall + pull out again next summer.

Want to try the trend, but don’t feel like you’re ready to completely dive in? Try starting with accessories or shoes. A bold bag, pair of earrings, or heels can go a long way when paired with a simple tee and jeans!

Are you taking part in the neon-mania this summer?! If so, please send your favorites my way!

Cheers!
