Spring always seems like the perfect time to freshen things up! Whether it’s our homes, wardrobes, gardens, or beauty routines it’s nice to make changes + improvements that just make us feel better. I recently went through all my makeup + skin care products and tossed things I wasn’t using (or were expired) and organized everything else. I’ve been loving how everything looks and how easily accessible my products are.
Going through the process really made me evaluate my morning routine and how much time I was wasting simply digging through my ridiculous inventory. I came to grips with the fact there was no need to keep so much around because I have my go-to makeup products and don’t stray. My skin is fairly sensitive so for years it was really tough + frustrating to find products that gave me the coverage I wanted, but didn’t negatively impact my skin. I’m happy to say I now have a ten minute makeup routine that gives me confidence in the way I look, but is gentle on my skin. Not to sound too dramatic here, but it’s seriously taken so much stress from my life. Today I’m sharing my lineup and how I use each product.

PRIMER: No Pore Problem
I apply it to my entire face (only takes one pump) before putting any makeup on. I love the way it makes my skin feel and my makeup goes on so smoothly afterward!
CONCEALER (blemishes): Touch Mineral Skin Perfecting Concealer in velour
I love Younique because their stuff is high quality, long-lasting, and clean, which can be a tough combo to come by in beauty products. If you need matched for concealer, foundation, etc. you can reach out to Allie. She’s helped me for a couple years now and has the best tips!
FOUNDATION: 2 drops Touch Mineral Liquid Foundation in chiffon + 1 drop BC Foundation in medium warm
I love the combination of these because it creates a great match to my skin tone and feels light while offering full coverage. Plus, the BC foundation has SPF 40, which I have been more mindful of lately.
CONCEALER (under eyes + highlighting): Tarte Shape Tape in light
I bought this a few weeks ago and now I can’t live without it…seriously. I use it to cover darkness under my eyes and to highlight the bridge of my nose, forehead, chin, and above my upper lip. This stuff is so good! I love the applicator because you can use the flatter side for more coverage or the tip for a fine line (pic below). Blend in with a beauty blender by gently pressing the concealer into your skin.
**Tip: dampen (I use this) the beauty blender before use so it doesn’t soak up all the concealer.
BRONZER (contour + eye shadow): Beachfront Bronzer in malibu
The stuff dreams are made of. I apply it with a contour brush below my cheekbone, along my hairline, and on my jawline. I blend it in with a fuller brush then use a thin, dense one to contour my nose. Pop a little on my eyelids for some color and onto the next!
**If I’m feeling like I need some extra color once my whole face is complete I’ll use a large powder brush to apply the lighter side of the compact (pic below) where needed.
SETTING POWDER:Touch Behold Translucent Setting Powder
I apply this everywhere I put the Tarte Shape Tape. For me, the t-zone is crucial because it’s where I tend to get oily. Let it sit for a minute or two (do lips + brows while you’re waiting) then lightly dab into skin.
LIPSTICK + LINER:Moodstruck Opulence + Precision Pencil
I’ve tried so many different lipstick brands and this is by far my favorite. It’s creamy so it doesn’t dry out my lips and it stays on for a long time! I have it in lots of colors, but lately I’ve been layering prodigal + conceited with the liner in punchy – such a pretty combo! The nude and pink colors are perfect for spring and they go with basically everything, which keeps things simple for this quick makeup routine.
EYEBROWS: Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palette #1
I have dark eyebrows that are naturally pretty thick so I don’t do much except fill them in with the color forthright. I’ve also been using forthright and chipper to line my upper and lower eyes respectively, rather than using an actual eyeliner. This gives a softer, more subtle look, which I personally prefer. The shimmery shades in the palette are beautiful, too, and I use them when I’m taking more time to get ready or create a more dramatic look with eye shadow.
BLUSH: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in quirky
I received this in one of my Ipsy Glam Bags and I love it! I’ve been going back and forth between it and this one from Laura Gellar
in pink grapefruit.
HIGHLIGHTER: OFRA Cosmetics Highlighter in Rodeo Drive
I’m not really married to any certain highlighter. I received this one in good girl in my March Ipsy Glam Bag and loved it. Then, a couple weeks ago I got the OFRA one in my most recent Glam Bag and have been reaching for it ever since. Both are great! I apply these above my blush, on the bridge of my nose, and above my upper lip.
SETTING SPRAY: Touch Behold Setting Spray
I typically do a few sprays before applying my mascara so everything sets nicely for the day. It smells so fresh and the bottle lasts forever!
MASCARA: Maybelline Great Lash
I’m sure you’re familiar with this drug store staple item that’s been around forever. I’ve went back to it time and time again over the years. Thinking of trying this, though. If you have a mascara you love and think I should try it let me know!

If you have any questions on these products let me know. I love them so much and appreciate the ease of this lineup for a beautiful, everyday look!
Cheers!

I love this! I need to do a thorough cleaning-out of my makeup bag(s). I love Ipsy, but it leaves me with way more than I need so I find myself regifting often.

The organizer is one of my favorite recent purchases and it fit PLENTY of product. Thinking of doing a giveaway with some of my Ipsy goodies I haven’t dipped into. Thoughts?!
